VGMatcha and Flaxseed Spread

Savoury spread for crackers, can be sweetened for a dessert topping

Prep: 20 minutes | Cook: Overnight | Servings: 10

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 2 cups flaxseed
  • 1 1/2 cups barista oat milk
  • 3 tablespoons red bean paste (optional, to sweeten)
  • 3 tablespoons honey (optional, to sweeten)

Instructions

  1. Bring milk to boil and stir through matcha
  2. Stir through flaxseed, then pour into a container and refrigerate until cool
  3. Once cool, add honey and/or red bean paste if you want to sweeten it
  4. Whisk until porridge like
  5. Leave in fridge until it hardens into a spread
